Difusi Introduces Medius and Maxim, a New Series of High-End MacBook and MacBook Pro Leather Carrying Cases

Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) September 12, 2006

Difusi Corporation, known for its iPod and Mac accessories, introduces the new medius and maxim cases for 13.3, 15 & 17 Inch notebooks designed to accommodate the new MacBook and MacBook Pro models from Apple Computer. The cases arrive in a choice of exteriors that include top-grain leather and Jacquard-nylon or full body top-grain leather construction.

Difusi continues its tradition of offering incredibly functional solutions for the Mac platform, said Mike Wright, the president and CEO of difusi. The rollout of these new products mark a milestone in our design capabilities, thus allowing difusi products to compete with far more expensive cases but to also share the stage with some of the larger brands.

We designed these exceptional cases through the integration of both form and function as well as integrated several cutting edge features that we develop to help differentiate our offerings from other vendors in an increasingly crowded market segment.

The new medius and maxim cases are outfitted with several features we believe will appeal to the consumer looking for an affordable and feature rich notebook case. Among these features are optional add-ons that include an interior illumination device known as Bright*, Power**, and Travel-Safe Technologies.

The breakthrough with the introduction of the medius and maxim cases are in their price points. These difusi cases incorporate features such as zone-based organization and extra interior adjustable padding to give these cases a 5 foot drop test rating that are usually only available in very expensive high-end case lines.

While compact, these cases look incredibly cutting edge. The shear amount of storage and accessibility is absolutely second to none.

Features

The cases are jam-packed with features, each come with padded leather on all handles and carrying straps and exterior body of the carrying cases. Hardware includes rugged zippers with padded leather pulls, as well as Jacquard nylon interiors that have been chosen because of its ability to hold up to everyday use. The cases are built using (9) Nine panel construction and each come with six main compartments for carrying cables, accessories, documents, CDs, DVD movies, digital cameras, MP3 players and more.

The cases were designed with Apples look and feel in mind, from high grade soft black leather to an interior sporting reflective light-grey nylon. Banding that holds the bright fixture to provide lighting for items in the case or elsewhere.

Interior Illumination (Bright)

"When is a light, not just a light? When difusi breaks all convention to offer one of the most hi-tech lighting solutions in the industry. We call our core lighting technology 'Bright'," Wright says. Bright goes beyond standard light design to incorporate power maximizing circuit design and material selection of components that last indefinitely. Convention tells us that lights should be designed with the body comprising of a power source, with a grouping of lights usually hanging at either end.

We threw all convention out the window and embarked on designing a new Illuminating Fixture from end-to-end, said Wright. We accomplished this by asking ourselves, how do we maximize the light output, minimize the power consumption, what materials are going to provide the most stability, and most importantly, make it sleek and easy to use.

Bright is a very high-quality illumination device made from highly polished, milled Aircraft Aluminum and is fitted with (8) eight super bright white LED's on a PCB design that incorporates LP output. Simply stated that is the brightest possible output of light while consuming less than 8% of traditional LED based lighting technologies. Bright is available directly through the difusi website for $ 32.95.

This copyrighted circuitry prevents drainage of battery power, thus enabling the light to draw from a 21/23 12 volt battery, only when switched on. Shelf-life of the installed battery is estimated at 36 months. Replacement batteries are found wherever you purchase door opening batteries. (Approximately $ 1.12 USD)

Difusi also announces today a redesign to its award winning nanoValet iPod nano leather case series and the inclusion of ClearGuard film to protect the LCD Screen, Click Wheel, and rear body panel of all iPod nano MP3 Players from Apple Computer. Clearguard is now provided as a free add-on in all nanoValet packages.

Lifetime Warranty

The medius and maxim cases come with a limited Lifetime Warranty. We believe in the quality of our products, Wright says, and back our belief with a limited Lifetime Use Warranty. We would like our customers to be satisfied with our products through and through, so we have built our products to last through a lifetime of use.

Pricing and Availability

The medius case line starts out at $ 89.95 for the JacQuard Nylon and Leather Exterior, the full leather medius case will sell for $ 149.95. The maxim case line for 17" laptops starts at just $ 99.95 and the full leather maxim case has a suggested retail price of $ 159.95.

The medius and maxim cases will be available through select retailers, online distributors and from the difusi online store. In Canada, difusi products are now available through our Canadian partner http://www.mymacdealer.com

The Acase multifunction Litchi Grain leather case for iPad2 is perfect for daily usage and travels. The microfiber inlay gently protects the backside and the screen of the iPad2 from scratches, and there would be no residue falling on to the screen of the iPad2. The grooves on the microfiber part of the case offer the iPad2 multi-viewing angles; now users are able to type an email or watch a movie without holding the iPad2 in their hands.

All of the iPad 2's features can still be accessed even while it's still installed in this case including charging. The iPad 2 can be put into any other bag or case without having to worry about not fitting. The choice solution in iPad 2 mobile protection.

InCommon Introduces Certificate Service

Ann Arbor, Mich (Vocus) June 9, 2010

The InCommon Federation has today announced the launch of a new trust service that will offer unlimited server and personal certificates to U.S. colleges and universities. As the first certificate service of its kind in the U.S., Internet2, which operates InCommon, is introducing this offering to provide the U.S. higher education community with a cost-effective means of deploying and operating a more secure and authenticated online environment for their campus constituencies.

Details are available at http://www.incommon.org/cert.

This new service provides tangible value to the U.S. research and education community and extends a pathway for innovation on campus, said John Krienke, chief operating officer of InCommon. By offering unlimited SSL certificates, were providing the potential for campuses to significantly reduce their certificate-related expenses. But at least as important, later this year we will include unlimited personal certificates, setting the stage for campuses to more easily adopt important services like signed email and secondfactor authentication. Economics are no longer a limitation for certificate possibilities."

InCommon is offering this service through a partnership with Comodo CA Ltd., a major certification authority and Internet2 industry member. Through the agreement, U.S. institutions of higher education can purchase unlimited numbers of certificates for SSL, personal signing, encryption, and code signing. InCommon partnered with Comodo, in part, because of the successful implementation of a similar program the company developed with TERENA (the Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association). The program launched last year has enabled its NREN members in over 30 European countries and international public sector organizations to offer certificates powered by Comodo to all education institutions throughout Europe.

We are excited about the opportunity to join InCommon in helping millions of students in colleges and universities across the U.S. to secure their online experience and communications, said Melih Abdulhayoglu, chief executive officer of Comodo. Enabling students and faculty members with the personal secure certificate and second factor authentication, whether for email encryption or for secure access to the universitys internal network, will prevent security breaches and leak of digital information.

Any higher education institution with its primary location in the U.S., and qualifying for an edu domain name, is eligible for the program. Internet2 member institutions will receive a 25 percent discount on the Certificate Service. Institutions must also participate in or join InCommon to take advantage of the Certificate Service.

The service fee schedule is based on an institutions classification under the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and requires an initial three-year commitment.

The InCommon Certificate Service is testing the program with a small number of institutions during June 2010. A full rollout of the service is expected in late summer of 2010. Institutions with expiring certificate agreements will receive priority, allowing them to avoid service interruptions. The roots of InCommon's SSL and personal Certificate Authorities are in all of the major Internet web browsers and devices.
