The Share Your Knowledge Sweepstakes ran from October 28 to November 29, 2010. To enter, participants submitted their email and optionally answered the question: Whats something you know more about than other people? One name was drawn for the first Kindle and whoever referred that person to the sweepstakes won the second Kindle. The twenty gift certificated were awarded similarly. A total of 9,643 entries were received.
Over 6,700 people shared what theyre an expert of, said Emily Hirai, Director of Marketing at Orbs.com. Answers ranged from how to train for a marathon to how to go back to college at the ripe old age of 40. We believe everyone is an undiscovered expert. Websites like Orbs.com now make it possible for everyday people to proudly share what they know with others.
